Occupational Therapists (OTs) can help to provide meaningful engagement and fulfillment in all areas of daily life!
Assesment
To better understand your child’s strengths, challenges and determine goals for therapy sessions, assessment is the first step! This usually includes parent/caregiver interviews, questionnaires, and informal assessment and observations. Standardized assessments may also be when appropriate.

Direct In-Person Therapy
By utilizing your child’s strengths and interests, we follow a play-based approach to therapy sessions. We aim to build rapport with your child first using the 3 Cs’s – choice, control and connection. Only then can true meaningful learning, growth and change occur. Parent involvement is essential to helping your child transfer and learn to apply these skills at home and in their own lives.
Parent Consultation Sessions
Sometimes parents need someone to listen. Someone to empathize and help them see the blocks or validate to the feelings and challenges they are experiencing while raising their child. Parent only consultation sessions can be highly effective to discuss and educate parents so they can see their child through “softer eyes” and empower them with the knowledge, skills, strategies and resources they need to be the best parent they can be!
